Rare critters are a highlight of diving in Lembeh but this famous destination is much more than just the renowned muck-diving epicenter of the world.

At Kasawari, you will have the privilege to dive with some of Lembeh’s legendary and most experienced dive-masters who are dedicated to finding all the elusive creatures from your wish list: flying gurnards, mimic octopus, wunderpus, a large variety of frogfish including the Striated and Painted varieties, pygmy seahorses, fingered dragonets, juvenile batfish, stonefish, Ambon scorpion fish, devilfish, stargazers, bobtail squid, hairy octopuses, blue-ringed octopuses, a large variety of nudibranchs, Rhinopias, Weedy scorpion fish and many other creatures. Another attraction is witnessing the fascinating mating rituals of colorful mandarin fish during the dusk dives.

Somewhat overshadowed by muck diving, Lembeh Strait also offers excellent wall, reef, pinnacle and even wreck diving (there are three World War II wrecks in the Strait!) with good visibility – still within only a few minutes boat ride from Kasawari Lembeh Resort. Densely overgrown reefs and boulders, giant sea fans and soft corals, colorful sponges, schools of jacks, snappers, humphead parrotfish, purple dartfish, leaf scorpionfish, pink squat lobsters, the remarkable boxer crabs and more awaits your discovery.

Kasawari Lembeh Resort has been thoughtfully laid out in a relatively compact area amidst lush tropical garden and coconut palms. The eight deluxe and two Kasawari villas have been designed and fitted out to provide for high level of comfort and luxury for each guests, while still embracing the traditional Minahasa semblance. Spacious air-conditioned bedrooms of each villa are laid with handmade terrazzo tiles and equipped with an over-sized bathroom that includes both indoor and outdoor shower areas.

Each villa also encompasses a private wooden deck to allow for outdoor relaxation in privacy. Other modern amenities and facilities such as a mini-bar, a safe-deposit box, CD player, hair-dryer, bath robes, ceiling fan, a Wi-Fi zone for internet connection and complimentary coffee and tea making facility have been included for guests comfort and convenience.

The two Kasawari villas are substantially larger and located close to the dive center right on the waterfront. Their own private decks and gazebos are overlooking the serenity of the Lembeh Strait and their spacious bathrooms have a basin and an outdoor shower in an enclosed tropical garden.

The resort’s restaurant, the bar and a lounge together with a reference library, are all located on the upper level of the main building from where guests can admire the clear view of picturesque Lembeh Strait. The restaurant has both covered and alfresco dining areas and in this relaxing atmosphere Kasawari Lembeh Resort chefs serve a palette of mouth-watering Asian and Western delicacies, often to the tunes of Kasawari’s staff band! Meals are served either buffet style or a la carte with a wide range of dishes, including a selection for vegetarian menus. Special dietary requirements can be catered and afternoon snacks are served either at the dive center or at the privacy of the villa’s deck.

A massage service is oriented in helping guests relax and unwind after a day’s diving either in the privacy of the room or at the massage pavilion.

A small conference room accommodating up to 20 people has just been added to facilitate lectures or seminars on underwater photography.
